Terms of service
Last updated: July 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you use Postmstr. We have written them in plain English rather than legal language, because terms you cannot read are not much use to anyone. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@postmstr.com and we will explain it.
What Postmstr is
Postmstr writes social media posts for your business. You tell us your business name, what you do and what you want to post about, and we use AI to write posts for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Pinterest. You can edit them, save them, plan them onto a calendar, and send them to a scheduling tool if you use one.
We write the posts. We do not publish them to your social accounts ourselves unless you connect a scheduling tool and ask us to send them there.
Your account
You need an email address and a password. Keep your password to yourself — anyone who has it can use your account. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the business you write posts for must be yours, or one you are allowed to post for.
Free and Pro
The free plan gives you a set number of post sets each month, for one business. Pro is £12/month, and gives you unlimited post sets, photo posts and scheduling integrations. Extra businesses are £3/month each on top of Pro.
The exact limits — what counts as a post set, what is free, what resets and when — are all on our fair usage page. That page is part of these terms.
What you write is yours
Your posts belong to you. Your business details belong to you. We do not claim any ownership of what you write or what we write for you, and you can publish it anywhere you like, including commercially. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train AI models.
What the AI writes
The posts we generate are suggestions. They are written by an AI model that does not know your business beyond what you have told us, and it can be wrong — it can invent a detail, get a price or a date wrong, or write something that does not suit your brand.
You are responsible for what you publish. Read a post before it goes out. Check anything factual — opening times, prices, offers, claims about what your product does. If a post makes a claim about your business that has to be true under advertising rules, that is on you to check, not on us.
We cannot promise the posts will perform well, win customers, or suit every audience. We provide the service as it is.
Paying for Pro
Pro is £12/month, billed by Stripe. Any introductory discount applies to your first month only; after that you pay the full price. You can cancel any time from your profile, and you keep Pro until the end of the month you have already paid for.
We do not refund part-months. If you cancel halfway through a month, you keep Pro to the end of it rather than getting half your money back. If we ever charge you in error, tell us and we will put it right.
If a payment fails we will tell you and give you a chance to fix it before your account drops back to the free plan.
Deleting your account
You can delete any business you have added, apart from your first one, from your profile page.
To close your account entirely and have everything deleted — your email, your business details, your posts and any photos you uploaded — email us at hello@postmstr.com from the address on your account. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm when it is done. There is no self-service button for this yet; the email goes to a person, and that is the honest description of it.
Suspending accounts
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break the law, to generate content that is hateful, harassing or sexual, to impersonate someone, or to hammer the service in a way that degrades it for everyone else. We would rather email you first and sort it out, and in most cases we will.
Things we cannot be liable for
We do our best to keep Postmstr running and your content safe, but we cannot promise the service will never go down or never lose data. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost customers, or losses that follow from something you published. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect. Small corrections we will just make, and the date at the top will change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
